Looking for Answers

You all have come up with some ideas and some questions on those topics.

Today you'll begin looking for answers, but you will track the process and attach the results to a reply in the forum you posted in for today.

Remember to consider the CRAAP test as you look for answers.

Homework:

1. Continue to look for answers to your questions and track the process; then attach to a reply in the Changes in Technology Prewriting Forum in Moodle. If your topic changes, that's okay, just make it clear what you're doing.

Persuasive Report Due

Why sources again? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7LFnbtn4zA

You turn in your report, one copy.

Quiz.

We look at the blog about change: http://www.amanet.org/training/articles/The-Myth-of-Generational-Differences-in-the-Workplace.aspx

 https://www.fastcompany.com/3067279/you-didnt-see-this-coming-10-jobs-that-will-be-replaced-by-robots

https://www.ted.com/talks/david_autor_why_are_there_still_so_many_jobs#t-578865

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disruptive_innovation

Homework:

1. Spend some time thinking about an area of change in the past that you would like to learn more about. I am thinking in terms of technological change, but if you have interests in another area, talk to me. You need to be able to focus in on some aspect of a topic that interests you and that will not be too large for the final report.

2. The purpose of this report is to discover the background and effects of a technological change of the past. You are communicating what you discover in order to show the rest of us how to anticipate and deal with change as it arrives. You are investigating how the change came about, who the winners and losers were, and how workers' lives were impacted.

3. You will be using sources for this report. Consider a topic that you could use co-workers, instructors, or **people you will meet on your tours** for sources.

3. Be prepared tomorrow to share with me possible ideas for your project.
